CARRIE MAY EZELL
Carrie
May Ezell, ATR, is a Registered Art Therapist and a
current doctoral student working towards her PhD in
Expressive Therapies through Lesley University in
Cambridge, Massachusetts. In Chattanooga she has done
art therapy work in a wide variety of settings
including:

Carrie
speaks to and facilitates workshops for colleges,
universities and conferences about the field of art
therapy and is a mentor for high school and college
students. She has been a guest panelist for the local
ABC and CBS affiliates in Chattanooga, speaking on the
topic of art as a healing modality. Carrie provides
in-home therapy services for ProFamily and is a Holmberg
Arts Leadership fellow. In 2010 she became an adjunct
professor at Southern Adventist University for the
School of Visual Art and Design.
Carrie
is the immediate past President of the Tennessee Art
Therapy Association, a member of the American Art
Therapy Association and the National Association of
Activity Professionals. She is currently working
towards the REAT (Registered Expressive Arts Therapist)
and the ADC (Certified Activity Director) credential and
hopes to make art therapy recognized as a viable health
care modality in the Southeast.
